New Faces of AME: Slavisa Djukic, Manufacturing Engineer & Programmer

Slavisa Djukic - Advanced Machine & EngineeringSlavisa Djukic is originally from Serbia, but has spent most of his life in America. He has a lot of family members that have been working in manufacturing for many years.

After high school, Slavisa has the opportunity to be part of the Golden Eagles Manufacturing program. The program allowed students to work part time at Woodward Governor and attend Rock Valley College on a full time basis to obtain their Manufacturing and Engineering Technology degree.

“During this time, I realized I wanted to work in manufacturing. I enjoyed the challenges and learning opportunities that the program presented.”

Slavisa received his Bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University, and worked as a manufacturing engineering intern at Parker Hannifin and Danfoss. Currently, Slavisa is working on his master’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

“During my freetime, I enjoy playing sports -- mainly soccer and tennis. I also love to travel the world and see new places and experience new cultures when I have time off.”

Slavisa has been to the Caribbean, Canada, multiple states throughout the U.S, Serbia, and Bosnia.

He started working at Advanced Machine & Engineering back in August of 2017. He currently works as a Manufacturing Engineer/Programmer. Slavisa enjoys the day-to-day challenges that his position brings. “It is inspiration to work for a family owned company that is involved in improving manufacturing in the Rockford, Illinois area. I am excited to see what the future brings for me and for AME.”
