AME Sets Up the Future of Manufacturing for Success

AME’s new facility expansion is on schedule to be completed in June 2018Northwest Quarterly executive editor, Chris Linden, reports: “Advanced Machine & Engineering (AME) … has built a global reputation for machine tool components and custom-engineered machining processes. Over the past 50 years, this family-owned company has built a reputation for doing difficult jobs with a high degree of precision.”

So far, 2018 has been quite eventful for AME; with a new facility expansion, investments in new technology, and an admirable apprenticeship program, the company is setting up the future of manufacturing in the Rockford for success.

“We want to quote fast, bring our lead time down, and continue with quick-response manufacturing,” says Dietmar Goellner, President and CEO of AME. “To be successful as a country, we need to have a strong manufacturing base. We need to make things. We need to build things … We can’t just provide service industries. We have to produce things to thrive.”

AME has also joined both the Technology and Manufacturing Association (TMA) and the Precision Machined Product Association (PMPA) to connect with and learn from other industry leaders that will help reach their future manufacturing goals.

“We now have the capacity to handle the increased demand, and we want our customers to know that we’re investing so that we can offer responsive service. We’re very thankful for their constant support,” says Goellner.
